StepForward BGC校で働く先生を紹介します。

21回目の今回は、「Ariane先生」に、英語講師になったきっかけ、先生自身の性格や趣味などについてインタビューをしました。

マカティ市です。

• 大学の専攻は？

中等教育（フィリピン語専攻）の学士号を取得しています。

• 講師の経験は？　

11年です。

• 講師として好きなレッスンは？

発音です。

• 趣味は？

ファッションとKpopです。

• 出身地はどこですか？あなたが生まれ育った場所について教えてください。

マカティ市で生まれ育ちました。フィリピンのビジネスの中心地としても知られる街です。マカティには高級ショッピングモールがあり、一流ブランドやレストラン、ホテルがあります。

• 自分自身をどのように表現しますか？

1. フレンドリーです。
2. シャイです。
3. 注目を浴びるのが苦手です。

• 英語講師になったきっかけは何ですか？

教師になるのは昔からの夢でしたが、先生には大きな責任が伴うのを知り、考え直しました。でも、教えるのが大好きだったので、夢を追うことにしました。今では言語に興味が芽生え、仕事が楽しくなっています。

• 日本人の生徒に英語を教えることはどうですか？

日本の生徒さんはフレンドリーで礼儀正しいだけでなく、努力を惜しまない人たちです。ベストを尽くし、熱心に学習に打ち込んでいます。

• 休みの日は何をしますか？

家で自由な時間を過ごすときは、家の掃除をします。そのあと、韓国ドラマやテレビシリーズを観ます。また、家族や友達と一緒の時間を過ごすのも好きです。

• Where are you from? Can you tell about the city where you were born and raised?

I was born and raised in Makati City. It is also known as the Business Center of the Philippines. Makati is known for upscale shopping malls with high fashion brands, restaurants, and hotels.

• How do you describe yourself? 

1. I am a friendly person
2. I am shy person
3. I don’t like getting the attention of people.

• What made you an English teacher?

Being a teacher was a dream of mine when I was younger; however, when I learned about how great responsibility a teacher has, I had second thoughts. But because I really like teaching and so I pursued it, I became interested in the language and found myself enjoying it.

• How do you like teaching English specially to Japanese learners?

The Japanese students are not only friendly and respectful, but they are also dedicated. They try their best and eager to learn the language.

• What do you do in your free time?

If I were to spent my free time at home, I would probably clean the house and after that I would watch kdrama or TV series. Other than that, I would like to spend it with my family or maybe with friends.
